ASCONA – Following the great success of the first two editions, the Ascona Music Festival presents its third edition 2012, which is dedicated to the piano and entitled: The Voice of the Piano.

This Festival include five concerts with the extraordinary participation of the pianist Daniel Levy, planned between April 21st and May 12th. Below is available the program with the dates of the concerts:

All the concerts will take place in the beautiful Church Santa Maria della Misericordia of the Collegio Papio in Ascona.

The Festival is organized by the International Academy of Euphony Switzerland which promote courses, conference, publications, exhibitions and concerts.

BELLINZONA – From March 31^st to July 1^st the Castle of Sasso Corbaro will host the event “a castle of eggs”, dedicated to one of the oldest symbols of creation: the egg.

LOCARNO –  Like every year with the arrival of spring come also the International Exhibition of Camellias in Locarno. The 15^th edition take place from March 28th to April 1st.

This event is a scientific exhibition with more than 300 varieties of camellias and is considered one of the most important events in its genre. The Camellia Park of Locarno was inaugurated in 2005 and during the years the park has become an international attraction.

There will also be flower markets, books and much more below the complete program.

MURALTO – Like every year in the second Sunday of march takes place in Minusio the Fish Festival.

In the early morning 6.30 AM  will start the fishing contest, than about 10 AM will start also the celebration with an aperitif and at 12.30 PM it’s lunch time and there will be the possibility to eat polenta and merluzzo, mortadella or gorgonzola.

In the afternoon, at 14.30 PM will be the prize-giving for the fishing contest followed by the distribution of alborelle until sold out.

Spend a different Sunday! Come in Muralto on March 11^th and celebrate this tradition. During all the day there will be good music and games for children.

In case of rain the celebration will be held on  the next Sunday.

AGNO – Like every year during the second Sunday of March in Agno takes place the San Provino Festival.

It is a celebration where people can taste the best products from the local area, look at the cattles, agricultural machines and much more!

TICINO – For the winter sport lovers we have another don’t miss this appointment. In the ski resorts of Bosco Gurin and Nara take place the second “Snow Downhill”. This races are organized by TICINOFREERIDE and by the 981 BIKE SHOP from Locarno.

AIROLO PESCIÜM - Would you like to spend a funny Saturday night, alternative and in contact with the snow? Airolo-Pesciüm’s Ski resort have the solution for you!

Saturday, February 4th take place the second Moonlight Skiing! The start point is at cableway from Airolo-Pesciüm at 7PM and there will be the possibility to ski until the 9PM.

For people who want it, snowshoes will be a good alternative to skiing. In the winter season 2011/12 has just opened new trails.

The Pesciüm restaurant will prepare also a meal. The choice is between a fondue or the dish of the day (Reservations Required by: February 3rd).
